About this collection

We are not being chased, we are not bleeding, we are not standing before a predator. And yet the body behaves as if it were trapped. In the contemporary world, stress no longer serves the immediate purpose of survival; it has turned into background noise: notifications, deadlines, endless news cycles, expectations, and judgments that fuel a silent alarm. An alert with no escape. A loop that feeds on itself.

In STRESS, this paradox takes shape through a visual language that is both essential and unsettling: human figures caught in banal moments, scrolling through a phone, waiting in an office, lying awake at night, are juxtaposed with animals, either still or moving with instinctual clarity. The tension emerges in the contrast: the clarity of instinct against the opacity of thought. The animal survives. The human broods.

This dialectic recalls the evolution of our species and the way the brain has inherited biological mechanisms that are now decontextualized. The hormone that once saved us from the tiger now consumes us over a typo.

The choice of the looping video format is not accidental: it embodies the circularity of anxiety, its inability to resolve. The absence of beginning and end creates suspended time, the same state in which we drift when the mind spirals into thoughts without conclusion. The artwork becomes an exercise in awareness, a still frame forcing us to confront the absurdity of this condition.

STRESS does not offer solutions, but opens urgent questions:

What does it mean to feel overwhelmed in a world of abundance?

How do you escape something that exists only in the mind?

And if the lion, calm and immobile, is at peace, why are we not?

NUKE - AKA Nuclear Samurai //

NUKE is a project created by Nuclear Samurai with a generally narrower aesthetic tendency towards clean symbolism, video loops, minor glitches aiming at creating emotional resonance.

Nuclear Samurai is a digital artist whose work often explores philosophical and existential themes. With a background in photography—formally educated and later working in commercial studios—he transitioned into full-time art practice in late 2024.

His work has been featured in international exhibitions and frequently addresses ideas of success, truth, and identity in a post-AI world. He also produces work that reflects on the art world itself and the artists who inhabit it. Often using AI as a tool of inspiration, he combines years of digital design experience with generative processes to create prolific bodies of work that are refined into focused, digestible series.
